English Lavender essential oil is one of the safest essential oils.  Our therapuetic grade essential oil helps you sleep, helps you breathe, helps relieve stress and anxiety, relieves headaches and migraines,  soothes insect bites and stings. soothes burns, scalds and sunburn. Its great in diffusers too! It is distilled from the flowers and leaves of Lavandula angustifolia also known as English Lavender.

How to use English Lavender Essential oil

  • To help you sleep: Put a couple of drops on your pillow. You can also rub a couple of drops on your pulse points. Or place two drops on your crown at the top of your head. 
  • Help you breathe: To relieve coughs and colds you should massage a couple of drops of oil onto your chest or massage a few drops of oil into the soles of your feet.
  • Help relieve stress and anxiety. Rub a drop of oil on your temples, or the back of your neck
  • Relieve Headaches and Migraines: Rub a few drops of oil on your temples, or the back of your  neck. You can also smell the oil from the bottle! And you could also use our Aromatherapy Headache Soother
  • Soothe burns, scalds and sunburn: Apply neat lavender oil to unbroken skin.
  • Soothe swelling, itching and pain from insect bites and stings: Apply a drop of oil on bites and stings. It soothes bee stings after you have removed the sting and helps reduce swelling.
  • To help prevent scarring:  Apply a drop of  English lavender essential oil over scar tissue. English Lavender oil has antibiotic, antioxidant, and antiseptic properties. It may help prevent scarring by promoting cell and tissue growth.
  • Diffusers. Lavender essential oil is wonderful in diffusers because it creates a calming and relaxing mood.  Add two drops and enjoy!.

Difference Between Lavender House English Lavender Oil and other brands

When testing other lavender oil brands you may find that they have a camphor or musty smell, or don’t absorb into your skin. Reasons for this include:

  •  the oil was distilled from an intermedia lavender containing higher levels of camphor and is generally a cheaper oil
  • The oil  contains artificial fragrances.
  • The oil could have been ‘padded with oils such as fractionated coconut oil, or blended with cheaper intermedia lavender oil.
